The Opportunity

Our client is looking for a Field CTO to establish and lead its technical presence in Poland.

This is a founding leadership role combining enterprise architecture, AI implementation, customer engagement, engineering leadership, and market expansion. You'll work directly with enterprise customers, own technical delivery from strategy through deployment, help win new engagements, and build the local engineering organization.

This is not a traditional advisory or pre-sales position, you'll be expected to build, ship, lead, and deliver.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end technical delivery of enterprise AI transformation projects
• Design, build, and deploy AI systems, LLM applications, and agentic workflows
• Serve as the senior technical advisor during executive meetings, workshops, and demonstrations
• Build, mentor, and scale delivery teams as customer engagements grow
• Establish engineering standards, documentation, and delivery best practices
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes for both technical and executive stakeholders
• Contribute reusable methodologies, frameworks, and IP after each engagement
• Help establish and grow the company's long-term presence in the Polish market

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend, full-stack, or infrastructure expertise
• Previous experience as a Founder, Co-Founder, CTO, Head of Engineering, or similar technical leadership role
• Proven track record building products, engineering organizations, business units, or technical teams from the ground up
• Experience leading enterprise implementations while remaining close to architecture and code
• Strong understanding of modern AI technologies, LLMs, AI agents, or production AI systems
• Experience across startup environments, scale-ups, or enterprise AI/SaaS organizations, with a record of shipping real products rather than only advising
• Demonstrated ability to scale engineering teams (5–50+ people)
• Excellent communication skills in both Polish and English, with confidence engaging C-level stakeholders
• High ownership, urgency, and ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
• Ability to work on-site in Warsaw at least four days per week

Nice to Have

• Experience with enterprise AI transformation, forward-deployed engineering, or customer-facing technical delivery
• Background in AI, voice technologies, SaaS, or agentic systems
• Technical pre-sales or enterprise consulting experience combined with deep engineering expertise
• Cross-functional knowledge spanning product, infrastructure, data, and delivery
• Experience working with large enterprise customers in banking, telecom, insurance, or similar industries
